Director: Amy Brooks

As the director of East Coast Basketball LLC, Amy Brooks has been involved with the game of basketball for many years.  She moved to Savannah, GA from Baltimore, MD where she worked at the McDonogh School for 15 years.  While at McDonogh, Amy was the Director of the Physical Education Department and coached not only basketball, but a variety of sports including lacrosse, tennis and volleyball at the middle school, junior varsity and varsity levels.  The McDonogh girls' basketball program achieved unprecedented success during Amy's tenure.

Amy has been part of the MAGIC basketball tournament since its inception in 2011 and is now the Tournament Director.  MAGIC brings 170 girls teams from 6 states to Maryland each year for the May event.  As an event coordinator for Puerto Rico College Sports Tours, Amy organizes events and hosts collegiate women's and high school girls' basketball teams in San Juan and surrounding areas.  She also volunteers each summer with the Graffam Give Back Fund at a camp in the Dominican Republic as a basketball coach.  Each summer, Amy coaches a select high school girls' team during an international basketball excursion in Ireland.  The addition of a D3 women’s select team for 2020 is in the works.

Amy and her husband Craig have a son, Tanner, and a daughter, Logan.  Tanner played basketball for the Neptune Basketball Club in Cork, Ireland for the 2016-17 season and currently resides in Charlotte, NC.  Logan is a sports management graduate from Miami University and works in the Mid-American Conference office in Cleveland, OH.

Character and service are very important aspects of Amy's life.  She enjoys sharing her love of the game to improve the lives of others.  Whether it be a teachable moment on the court, a team's support of a community endeavor or volunteering time to make a difference, Amy believes all can be accomplished through sports.

Amy traveled back to the Dominican Republic in July 2018, volunteering her time at the Barahona Basketball Camp.  More information and pictures are posted under Dominican Republic Mission Trip 2018.
