For the fourth straight year, the Graffam Family Give Back Fund sponsored a mission trip to the Dominican Republic in July.  This year, two cities benefited from the generosity of volunteers - Banica and Barahona.  Basketball camps were offered in both cities as well as an educational camp in Banica for younger children.  Below are pictures from the basketball camp in Barahona for which I, along with my husband, were counselors.  The 2019 trip is scheduled for July 6th - 14th. If your team would like to donate uniforms, tshirts, bags, socks or shoes, please contact me.

If you are interested in contributing in any way to this amazing program, please contact me.  We are always looking for donated team uniforms if your team is purchasing new ones.  We have had many shoe drives and look for assistance with collection and shipping each year.  Last year, a group donated dresses made out of pillow cases for us to distribute to young girls in Banica.  You can see many of the girls proudly wearing their dresses in the video below.  In 2015, a group donated toothbrushes, toothpaste and travel size shampoos and soaps to help promote hygiene.  There are many ways to support this program and new ideas are always welcome.  Email me at with any questions.

This video, created by Jay Guerra, our traveling photographer, provides an in depth look into the people of Banica.  Enjoy!!!
